Number 49 - Hollywood

Woke up an hour late. lol. Had some sugary breakfast, again. How much sugar can americans tolerate?! Mom said we're going to see the Hollywood sign today so we went on a journey once again. I updated my blog the whole journey, it wasn't that interesting.
We found a car park and set off along the "Walk of Fame" :D
We found some people that we knew on the stars and photographed a couple of superheroes.I was getting a little bored until HARRY POTTER!!! There were all of these flags and stuff with the different house crests and colours outside a famous theatre. In front of it were some hand prints from famous people like Johnny Depp. XD But I had a total flip out when I saw the huge Harry Potter stone with Emma, Daniel and Rupert's hand and print   prints. Obviously I put my hands on it and took photos :P Lots and lots of photos XD
We walked to the very end of the street and back but we didn't find the star with "David McCallum" in unfortunately. Although, I can now say I've been on both Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard (which are apparently famous streets in Hollywood....). Also, while looking for the star we somehow ended up in the "erotic district".... :P I don't think you need me to explain what that meant exactly. ;)

Visited a Hollywood cemetery which was a bit of a let down, although I did see both the "Man of 1000 voices'" grave (the one with "That's All Folks" written on the front) and the Toto (previously named Terry) memorial. I also discovered that Toto was in fact a girl so.... you learn something new every day. :)

Drove up to get close to the sign ans saw a limo driving up the opposite way as we were turning around. The Father refused to let is stalk the celebrity who was in it unfortunately so that was a bit of a let down. :( We decided to get out to take a picture of the sign with us in the background... but as That Father pulled out to park (signalling very far in advance), a car drove into our path so dad quickly manouvered around and parked in the space along the road (even though it had been our right of way). The woman driving got out of her car and opened our door, had a large rant using many vulgar swearwords before throwing moms sunglasses at father and stalking off. What made it even worse was that she was British. D: We all sat in silence for 5 seconds before all bursting into laughter. We always seem to get shouted at when on journeys in foreign countries: The Water Seller, The Ticket Collector, and our latest edition - The Ranting Woman. :P lol. Anyway, we took our pictures ans drove back to the hotel - listening to awesome tunes: American Pie and Living on a Prayer to name a couple.

The brother and I went swimming while the Rentals went shopping in Wal Mart. :) but twas cold so I got out and went back to the hotel room. This weird version of scoobydoo - uncartoonised - was on the TV so I watched that while Facebooking. I was very unamused when I discovered they'd made Fred brunette instead of blonde and shaggy brunette instead of ginger. >.>
The Rentals returned bearing coke and a melon! :D They told us that the checkout had to ask what the melon was, and after looking in the bag, thought it was a large mango.... talk about unhealthy!!! Not knowing what a melon is.... tragic.
Had a nice relaxing shower while the Rentals ordered pizza and unpacked their things. Le pizza arrived so I watched "The House Bunny" while eating it which was cool. :) Started up my laptop part way through the movie and blogged. Everyone fell asleep at 7:30 (jetlag) so at 8 I went around and turned off all the lights and cleared away stuff on peoples laps (like books and glasses). I felt a bit like a mother actually ^^ lol. Anyhow, I also became tired so decided to get some shut eye.

Over and out,

Gloves. xx
