Universities Galore. And small children.

School again. Though it was relatively okay. Lessons are fun and some of them hold my remote interest.

Monday entailed the Fridge-Freezer breaking down, winning at flute, and entertaining many small children all evening.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Tuesday (19th) it was the UCAS evening. Smurf came over and we watched the football together along with the rest of the "football gang" who always make the match 10 times funner. :P
I sat between Smurfadoodle and The Father. Every time the name "Gerrard" was mentioned I was surrounded by echoing choruses of "Steeevieee Geee" followed by "Gerrrard" in quite terrible scouse accents... and it cracked me up every time. XD
Anywho, the game was good. :) Winning meant we didn't have to face spain. Then again, now we're facing Italy.... Yeah.... Perhaps I can just support Italy now? I mean... I am quarter Italian..
On le Wednesday, le New Girl came over. Her nickname hence-forth shall be Shelly. So yes. Shelly came over. It was the most fun I have had in ages. :P We walked le dog and went for an extremely long walk, touring round the village and talking about nothingness, but the conversation was still awesome. (I have no idea how, my stutter was playing up quite a bit that day! D:)
Uh, we got back, went up to my room... and just chatted. Literally. For ages. It was just.. yeah... drunken tales (from her) and embarrassing stories (from the both of us) and discussing interests and dislikes. I want to go rock climbing with her. :) She said she'd take me some time. ^_^ We also started discussing what we should do, and I 'm not too sure how we got there.. but, we came to the conclusion of: When someone asks "Do you want to watch a movie?" It means they are planning on stabbing you..... XD
After we decided that we should probably do something other than talk, we wandered down to the games room, only to be called for dinner. Which consisted of Scampi, Chicken bites, A single lamb chop, Three fillet stakes, some vegetables and milk. Oddest array of foods served in one meal... ever. It was pretty damn awesome. XD
After eating, Shelly and I went back upstairs and sat in my cuddly corner (not cuddling - that was obviously not allowed) and played some guitar. Well, I played guitar and she sang along. :D And then I taught her a two chords and we sang a song together that only needed two chords. :D I heart that song muchly. ('Anyone else but you.' In case you were wondering...)
Then she showed me this song and asked me to learn it for her. It is a great song (and every time I hear it I am reminded of the story of her singing along to it, while drunk, very loudly in the street, on a bicycle..... :P One of the best mental images ever. :D) so I shall try my best to play it.
So yes. It's about someone wanting to be cremated and thrown into London's drinking water so he can become part of everyone and eventually the world. >:D Muahahah. Not a bad way to remain on earth....
Uh yeah. We watched a couple of ASDF Movies and then Shelly departed. :(
Owen came over for tea on Thursday... Which was reeeeally odd. It reminded me of the old Mondays when mom baby-sat him. He used to come over and we'd sit in the garden (in the summer) and just talk. I sort of miss that. It was those times before everyone was stereotyped into their cliques and I wasn't "uncool" to be with.... :/
On Friday I went to the Birmingham University Open Day. :)
I didn't see anyone I knew but it didn't really matter.
We arrived a little late because mothers car was playing up. (She had to drive because Father got stuck in Germany the night before due to a huge storm. He had to sit on the plane for 3 hours before they told everyone that take-off wasn't possible... He got to a hotel at 1 in the morning [the close hotels were all full] and had to get back to the airport by 5. He got 2 hours sleep and hadn't eaten since breakfast the day before. I'm pretty sure dad hates his job. He want's to quit, but then mom wouldn't be able to go on holiday and she needs the sun - otherwise she becomes unbarable in the winter. >_>) Aaanyways, got a lift in with Embo who was driving to school anyways. I can't believe she's going to university next year! O.o
Uh, so yeah. The talks were excellent. Mother couldn't come in with me to the first one. And I asked a question!!! :D I actually put my hand up and asked a question, to an adult, in a room full of people. *proud moment*.....God I'm sad.
So yeah. Went on a tour of the Physio-therapy block which was pretty cool, though not quite as good as Bornemouth. It was still really interesting.
Father joined us at the Halls tour.
Most of them were great and in one the beds were actually huuuge. Well, huge compared to all of the previous ones. They all had good views. Pretty nice. So yeah. We also found out that at the top of each block there were apartments for couples to share, complete with double beds and wifi. (ooer) :P Wound Father up a bit with that information. XD
So yeah. All in all it was a pretty nice place. It's a toss up between bornemouth and birmingham as my first choice now. Originally it was Birmingham, but now I'm not so sure.....
Got back, at dinner and watched the fooball. Poor father was falling asleep. He missed a couple of goals because even though I shouted in his ear, he didn't respond. The only way to wake him was to tickle his feet. :P
So after the match, Embo and I carried on with a puzzle that the women of the house had been doing during the match.
We stayed up until 2 to complete it. At 1, we caught the 1'o'clock Hysteria and giggled manically about nothing for the next hour. XD We also became obsessed with pieces of the puzzle. Embo with chimneys and sky, and me with a single man sitting on a bench and the green pole "of doom" :P. And we suceeded! We left the mothers a little note too. :D
So yeah. Left in the morning and set off for land of the Scouses.
Liverpool was great.
When we arrived we had a great chat with a couple of the lectures and I did some more chatting (to adults!). Went to a couple of lectures.
Someone stopped me on the stairs as we were leaving and said: "You were at Birmingham yesterday weren't you?" I must've looked like a deer caught in headlights as I nodded and ran away as fast as I could! :P I couldn't understand how I was recognisable. For Birmingham I'd been wearing a fairly normal jeans and hoodie. But at Liverpool I was wearing my "goth" look - complete with make-up and different hairstyle. It creeped me out for a while before I realised that I was wearing odd shoes both days: one white one purple... which probably gave me away..... :P
Went for a campus tour (without mother because of her bad heel) and it was amazing. Physiotherapy was situated in the centre of the "old university" buildings and the architecture was amazing. So cozy and awesome. I loved it.
Went for a Halls tour after that. God, it was hideous. All of the Halls were really ropey. Father said I could live in a house in my first year if I went here. That's how bad they were. Apparently they weren't worth the money they were asking for. But yeah. Apart from the Halls, everything else in Liverpool was awesome and I loved it.
Such a shame about the year 1 course. :/ If only there was practical placement in the first year, it would be my first choice, no doubt about it. Hmph.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On le Sunday we went to visit fathers school friend and family. Mother saw what I was wearing and just shook her head... XD
So yeah. We arrived and shortly afterwards, I was dragged upstairs by Alice to play a game. She's 5. At first, she showed me where everything in her room was. And then we made a beach out of scarves. Then she wanted to play dress up, so she put on a fairy outfit and tried to make me wear a dog suit but 'unfortunately' it didn't fit me so she settled with me wearing wings.
Went down to eat our starter and then I was ushered back up to play again. This time she wanted to do my hair. Why I agreed I shall never know. So yeah. It was put into about 6 bobbles and made to stick out everywhere. And then I had to become a tiger.... >_> Complete with hat and tail. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life - I was dragged downstairs by a 5 year old, to show off my tiger suit to the rentals...
That mortifying experience was made fractionally better when Harley (the 3 year old son) used Le Brother as a climbing frame. XD I'm going to put up another picture because it was so funny... :D

Makes me laugh every time. What made it better was Le Brothers panicked face. XD You could just see the "What the hell am I meant to do with this small person?!" in his eyes. :P
So yeah. We ate dinner and went back up to play another game. I changed out of my tigeress costume and we made a cat out of scarves, lego and hats. I must admit - I found that more fun than I should have. :L
Alice became a tiger and forced me, Harley and Le Brother to be "rock stars". Seriously. For a 5 year old she was exceptionally bossy. :P
Played hide and seek - again, more fun than I should have. I need to convince everyone to play hide and seek some time. It will be so cool!!! :D Perhaps at my birthday party....?
Anywho, during that game, Harley pulled my hair and stole my phone. I told him off and he looked at me with his adorable blue eyes and said "I'm so sorry." and then proceeded to kiss me ...on the lips.... O.o One of the oddest experiences ever. I got child spit on my face. D: O.O
So yes... he kept my phone after that. I kept having to check if Smurf had texted me again, which is hard to do when a child runs away with it every time you get near enough to grab it.
We ate desert [well everyone else did... It was chocolate mousse. :( ] and then returned to Alices room so I could become a witch/carpet monster combo and chase them around the house.
I was extremely upset when father came up and told me we were leaving. Perhaps even more upset than the children! :P
So yeah. We said goodbye after several hugs.
Just before we left, Le Brother managed to knee Harley in the face and punch Alice in the eye. How the hell he managed to do so much damage in a short amount of time I shall never know. But what I do know is that he's probably going to come back as a fly in his next life for those actions.

Got back to the house and watched the Italian Job. I forgot how funny it was. :P
The match was captivating. Father was shouting like a fog horn in my ear. Plus every time he said "Gerrard" I was compelled to reply with "Steeeeviee Gee!" Damn my boyfriend. :P
I also updated my status more than I have in a couple of months. XD But yeah. We made it all the way to penalties. Our luck just sucked from there.
Ahh well. Not the end of the world... eh....? ....*proceeds to bawl eyes out and then tear off England shirt with nails and teeth*. Yeah.
Talked with Smurf for a little while after he called me. Did a bit of puzzle while he showered, and then had an odd conversation with him which ended up very strangely... I actually have no idea what is happening now. But I've decided that if I don't hear from him today then I'll just have to accept that I can't go tomorrow, seeing as I have no lift. I hate Penelope.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So yeah. This morning I slept in until the fridge guy arrived. Started playing guitar again and completed the blog post. Talked to Smurf a little too.
Loaded the new fridge with mother and made toasties for the family (bar the brother who is at school... mauhahaha!) with the toastie pouches for the first time ever.... it was cool and I have no idea why. XD
I shall probably do some flute, and write my Personal Statement today. It has to be done some time.
Bleh.
Over and out,
Gloves. xx
