My Rock

This past week has been up and down. I did all my exams though. And Greg is still alright, though his wounds are all infected now so it's not totally over yet.
I just want to thank that person who's been a rock recently. Makes me smile when I didn't think i could, and generally making this week a little bit better.
Even though they can't see this... Still. They're wonderful.

Greg xox

So Greg's back in hospital.

Survived the surgery against the odds.

Just hoping for a smooth recovery now...

God I hope things go well this time.

Good :)

I have a big post lined up to finish at some point.

But I just wanted to say that today was a really good day.

Quidditch training was the best and everything after was great too. :)

I'm really happy right now.

Overdue Update

So I went to mountaineering social on the 11th which was.... eventful. :3

I hung out with Pierce and Adam on the 16th of Feb which was pretty rad. We didn't actually do any karaoke but the evening was cool just the same. I got to ride in the boot of a car!!! :P Though they forgot to remind me to get milk. Traitors.... :P

Keele peeps missed me off the roster (again >_>) which got me really down but what can you do....?

Sophie came over on the Wednesday til the Saturday. We filmed a short film of her own design (inbetween my lectures). Basically it was a really chill couple of days with films and shows and music and yeah. Pretty cool. Went out to the cinema and watched Kingsmen on the Friday for her birthday and then out for a meal together before heading to the social briefly :)

Challenge Shield happened on the 21st, which was pretty fucking awesome. Got to play Quidditch all day and on top of that I made some pretty epic new friends. Three of the Derby players and a couple Quidlings came back to mine after the games and we drank and played Cards Against Humanity and drank some more before heading to the social and playing Never Have I Ever for the whole evening. It was great. JJ is such a tease though :P

Started placement. Its pretty epic and apart from Antony being super annoying a lot of the time it's really enjoyable. I'm loving hydro and I've had a couple of new patients of my own now. Slowly building up my own case load. :) I'm learning a shitton of new stuff, and it's really forcing me to brush up on the basics which is sort of a blessing in disguise because obviously I have to know that info eventually.

On the 27th I headed over to Loughborough to visit Adam and Jack. :) I had't seen them in like a year (apart from Adam briefly at Challenge shield when we played chubby bunny). But yeah so it was really cool to see them again :) We decided to go out on the Friday night so we all went to Holly K's for prinks where we played Jenga and Ring of Fire and I got quite tipsy on vodka. Walked to the SU with Rich and Adam who got me in without queuing because he knew the doorman. The SU is fucking huge and has like 4 separate rooms and 5 bars and just it was epic. More drinks were ordered throughout the night. Cant even remember how much I drank or who bought me what or anything but it was awesome.
At one point Dan B was a bit of a dick to me (which actually carried over to the next day) and also brought up Tom but I didn't really let it bother me and enjoyed myself regardless. Lost people eventually so Rich and I just danced and chatted etc til like 4 when people started being escorted out. At this point we found Adam and after dragging him away from 3 different groups of people we got him out. He wanted food and expressed the type he wanted by acting like a chicken. He tried to tackle cars and took us down this creepy rapey alley (and called me when I was like 2 meters behind him) but apart from that it was fairly standard "drunk friend" duty :P Rich and I put him into bed with his head in a bucket and settled down for the night on the sofa. Which wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. A little cramped but warm :)
Spend Saturday sleeping off the hangover and watching Hercules in Adams bed. Went to Quidditch practice and it was one of the best practices I've been to. Like Keele could learn so much from Lboro if they really cared enough to try to improve. But yeah, saw Emily again and we had a chat when we could.Adam and I headed back at the end of practice and though Rich invited us to a cheese and wine evening we declined and had a movie night with takeaway pizza :) Guardians of the Galaxy is a brilliant movie! We all slept early that night. :P
Left at around 11 Sunday morning to get to Keele's practice which really sucked because Rich asked me out to coffee and I had to decline :/ On the bright side I was talking to Greco the whole journey back about his night out and his run ins with Tom and it was hilarious and brilliant and cheered me up. Needless to say he wasn't at practice. :3 Practice was average and wet and cold and it was called off fairly early.

Now I'm back in Shrewsbury and on placement again and this week has started well :) Got feedback today and apparently my CE's are really happy with me so that's a plus I suppose. Rich has been sending me little messages every morning and evening which is sweet, and always makes my day.
Here's to hoping the rest of the week is just as good :)

An Evening In

Monday night I had a nice evening in with Adam just eating takeaway and chilling to music.

It was nice to just relax and chat to someone who's basically going through the same things as me right now. :)

Valentines Cup II: Revenge of the Quove

Yes, I'm playing that sport again.

Last weekend I spent a good portion of my time in a cold field in Oxford. And I loved it.

Drove from home on the Saturday morning and almost got lost because of a diversion but arrived on time nonetheless. Found Sophie and the rest of Sacreblues Cruise and headed over to Pitch 3 for our first match of the day. We lost, but it didn't matter because we learnt from that. The next match we blasted through and it was a glorious win :D (Though I did step on Laurens' foot which I felt terrible about and apologized every time I saw him after that :P) Lunch van arrived so I stood in the queue with Sophie and some other Cruisers and sang songs on the ukulele while we waited the hour long wait for food. Not that I needed to, I had a packed lunch, I just wanted to hang out with the cool kids :P
After lunch we watched a couple of matches and I wandered around talking to the other spectators, making up beautiful phrases and having brilliant conversations with Keele peeps and their teammates.
Soon it was time for our final match of the day. We started off strong and we were well within snitch range when disaster struck. Jay (one of our teammates and a brilliant player) landed badly after a tackle. Pitch play was stopped and we and the other team made a penguin huddle to keep warm whilst the paramedics fetched a stretcher. The quotes from that huddle were fantastic, and its the most punny I've been probably ever. :P We also decided to sing "Cruisin' For a Bluesin'" to boost morale which worked a treat, Fraser is a brilliant song writer :D
Eventually Jay was moved and we applauded him off the pitch, us cruisers saluting our fallen vice-captain which apparently he found amusing because he smiled despite the pain he was in. :) Play resumed and about 5 minutes in I took a head tackle, followed by a foot to the face 1 minute after that. That put me out of the game, but it didn't matter because they caught the snitch soon after that and the game ended. It was an unfortunate loss and we were all a bit bummed out but I think our concern for Jay was greater so we all went off to see how he was.
Our match was the last of the day so I gathered my things together and started loading my car up with equipment to take to Luke and Jans (whos house I was staying at overnight). We had to wait until everyone left because they were organizing everything but eventually Luke and I departed and got to his. After hanging in his room I went on a drive to try and find a car park but got lost and had to drive back to the house to pick up Luke so he could direct me :P Luke and I stopped off at a Chinese to pick up food and shared a cider before getting back to the house. I showered and got dressed and chatted to Jan about TV shows and crime drama while I put on my face.
Once everyone was ready we walked down to the club, which was a little different than everyone expected but whatever. Some beautiful entertainment from Rob and Gorik for 20 minutes before the epic rap battle between Gorik and Guenzel :D It was absolutely hilarious. Anyways, after Guenz won with his "ill bars" we all descended into madness as the alcohol flowed. I honestly didn't drink that much but apparently that didn't stop me from making out with anyone who would..... O.o I really don't know how but I ended up kissing about 6 people..... (Just so I remember at a later date: Alice, Olivia, Bex, Pierce, Luke and G).
Anyways. at one point Gorik asked me for a dance and somehow we ended up flirting literally between a conversation between Tom and someone else.... which I thought was a tad awkward when I remembered in the morning :/
Anyways, it was a good night out (when the very sparse good songs were on) and I enjoyed it immensely. Got back around 2:30 and ended up sleeping next to Guenzel because Sophie took my spot :P
The next morning we all packed up and headed back to the pitch. Sophie and I sat on a bench wrapped in my blanket for a good portion of the morning until it was time for our first game. I started the art movement which was the bra catapulted places. We ended up winning our first match which meant we went through to the next round. Sat in wait for our next game with the ukulele until the food van arrived which meant more people swarm and more waiting for food. Laurens and I chatted in the queue and all through lunch until it was time for the Cruises' next match. He came along to be our mascot because his team had been knocked out.
We won our next game which meant we were in the final of the lower bracket :D Unfortuntately it meant we'd be playing during the actual final which none of us were happy about. Anyways, with four players missing, we lost. Though the game finished just in time for us to watch the end of the final in which the Black Beauties triumphed. Half of their team were Keele players so I didn't mind that they won at all :P
After the ceremony I had a quick chat with the Keele peeps before chatting to my mom on the phone and heading home.
Had a shower and slept. I was shattered.

Uptown Funk

Had an absolutely fantastic night out yesterday :D
Antony invited me to his Jazz event in Shrewsbury and even though Jackie was ill I still headed over. Got there a tad early so we hung out at his for a bit before heading over to the Lordhill Hotel. The Hot Jazz Biscuits played some songs first as we mingled and I chatted to his family most of the time while he was organizing things and setting bits up for their set.
Stood at the bar for a while and chatted with his mates for a bit until he had to go onstage at like 10:30 (though he forgot and I had to remind him he was meant to be onstage) :P
Harriet (one of his friends) invited me to dance after their first song and we danced together for the rest of the evening.
The song choices were incredible and honestly it was the best night I've had in a while. Set finished at half 11 and Antony drove me back to my car (though we sat chatting in the car with the door open for about 15 minutes instead of finishing the conversation) XD
Got back around 1:45 and crashed.

Brilliant.

Bleh.

I went back to Quidditch practice today and it was super cool.

A downside is that I'm having a cloudy day today and nothing so far is helping.

Yay my thoughts.

Though looking back they didn't really include me in practice this time. They have a spare seat for Kuffton this weekend and wanted to invite the new guy who'd never played before instead of inviting me, even when I expressed that I'd like to come along. So yeah. That was a thing.

Him.

All he ever thought about was himself.
The whole of the conversation in the cotton mill was about himself for gods sake! Just constantly talking about his Quidditch or his golf or his general problems himself. One of the last things he said to me was literally how good he looked in his golf hat.
It doesn't make him look good. It makes his head look like a football.
And who breaks up with someone in public?
God. He's an arse.
Constantly needing reassurance that he was the best at everything.
Well I'm sorry but he was crap at a multitude of shit.
Particularly in bed. I mean it was okay, good even, but I had to fake every single orgasm. And that's just a bit sad. Plus it was boring. Just the same every time with no variation.
At least with Jordan we actually experimented.
Oh and not to mention needing reassurance about how he looked. He actually stood in front of the mirror every day and flexed. And boasted about his (non existent) abs. Like I'm not kidding, there is no muscular definition there whatsoever. I should know, I learn about muscular definition.
Plus he got super jealous all the time and then tried to make me guilty by making it seem like it was my fault. It's not, especially if the basis of it was a dream that he conjured up himself! Ugh.
I can hang out with my friends if I want to. Especially since he was the one who cheated.
Plus he was constantly making me jealous (on purpose) by talking about girls who gave him massages and flirting and all that. He's just an arrogant arsehole.

All fucked up.

I'm such an idiot. Why can I never see it coming?

If I'd said no, and chosen Alex, we'd still be friends.

If I'd gone on that date with Michael things might have turned out differently.

I messed everything up again.

That fucking sucks.

Done, finally.

My exams are over. Thank goodness.
Just my essay to finish now. Hopefully I'll be able to crack on and get it out of the way by Friday.

Slightly obsessed with a dude in a band. The music is poppy and cheesy and I sortof like it? (oh no)

Other than that, nothing interesting has happened. Greg's out and well(ish), and I've spent the past two weeks revising with Greco, every single day.

Back at uni on Monday, and the work begins again.

La di fucking da.

No.

I had a bad day today.

I don't want to go back to how I was before.

Nothing helps.
I’m moody as fuck so if you want a relationship/friendship with me understand that there will be days that I will not care for your presence even though you did nothing wrong followed by days where you’ll be the only person that I want to talk to despite having nothing to say.

Fun fact time: many of my old acquaintances still make joking comments whenever they see me wearing pink, because as a child (and honestly pretty much right up to high school) I would refuse to associate with any pink objects.

It wasn’t because I didn’t like pink, it was because since I appeared female I was supposed to/ it was immediately assumed that I did and therefore it pissed me the ever-loving fuck off. I was ashamed to like it, which is terrible because pink is an awesome color. But when you shove it down young girls throats it gets really old, really fast.

Give the child the fucking rainbow, and if they pick pink, it’s not because they are female and/or effeminate, it’s because they like the color pink.

Bad Start

So Greg's back in hospital.
He had a funny turn on New Years Day so we cancelled our plans and he went to bed.
He collapsed on the 3rd, Saturday morning.
While in A&E he had two short seizures, after which he was taken to Oxford. Mom stayed with him overnight but father and I had to leave and return in the morning because he wasn't allowed more than one visitor overnight. He was transferred to CCU and they finally found out what was going on.
Long story short, he now has a temporary pacemaker, soon to be made permanent.

So I mean that's not exactly the best start.
And I haven't exactly been helping myself make it a good start to the new year, seeing as I've been putting off my revision all week. Which I know is stupid but I'm still doing it. I have yet to complete my essay which is in for Monday, and it needs to be done so I can focus on the exams on Tuesday.

God.

A Whole New Year

So it is officially 2015...

I was planning to just sleep through it, but the evening before Cleugh invited me to his new years thing and I thought "Why not? I haven't seen the guys in an age" so that was that.

Turned up and immediately started drinking. Jordan turned up which was a little unexpected but whatever, I thought I was mature enough to be civil to my ex. Turns out, I'm not when I'm drunk... not at all really. I made small digs at him all evening and on top of that I through a shot in his face *facepalm* what a bitch. Still, I think most people had a good night. We played beer pong twice and I wasn't too bad at it at all. :P Cleugh pennied me twice and instead of downing my second drink I agreed to instead play "higher or lower" or something like that. Which I probably shouldn't have agreed to... We also played a game called "Ring of Death" which is as terrifying as it sounds. Canfield was sick after that drinking game though so it sort of put an end to that.
Invited the new year in with a glass of Prosecco and then had a quick chat to Tom which was lovely :) (Including the news that his new years kiss was stolen by Adam (bastard) :P) but yeah. Shortly after midnight someone broke a glass and that pushed Cleugh over the edge with everyone so we went out to the clubs instead. Somehow we lost two Toms and a Jordan on the way but after trapseing through 5 different clubs, we finally found them in Decades. Had a shot of Tequila at the bar (courtesy of Cleugh) and then went off to find Jordan (who had apparently disappeared again). We found him sitting on a sofa in Seven. He told us to fuck off, several times actually, but neither of us wanted to leave him alone so I ended up sitting with him, trying to cheer him up. It was quite an insightful conversation and hopefully getting things off his chest helped him a little. Because however much I resented him for breaking up with me, I don't want him to be unhappy.
We ended up leaving shortly after that so Jenny and I walked back arm in arm with Jordan to make sure he didn't wander off again. I don't really remember much of the walk back but Jenny said it was filled with lots of him shouting things at us and us trying to make him shout things quieter. She said there was a particularly funny moment where both of us were leaning on a bush and Jordan got offended because I told him no-one wanted to hear how he felt about me (he was shouting it apparently). It was funnier how she explained it but I can't remember exactly what she said.
Anyways, we got back to Cleughs around 3. Cleugh collapsed half naked on his floor and Jordan fell asleep, half out of his sleeping bag, on the lounge floor. We gave up trying to move them both to suitable sleeping places and instead donned pj's and watched a movie (Liar Liar).
After ten minutes of the second movie (at about 4:30) Jenny and I decided that it was sleep time and promptly settled in bed. :P

Woke up with a hangover, as was to be expected seeing as I couldn't remember exactly how much alcohol I'd consumed. At about 10:30 Jenny, David and I decided to go out in search of bacon. After a short walk to a closed shop we walked back, with David vowing to find us bacon somehow. Sat with bacon sandwiches and played Cards Against Humanity until my dad picked me up.

We were mean't to go to the cinema and Nandos in the evening but Greg had an episode so we stayed and called various doctors etc. instead. Luckily he didn't need to go back to Oxford so we just had an early night.

Got my hair done this morning. Its natural again, and now I have a bob. :P
Was meant to meet up with Joel but he's always letting me down so I wasn't surprised when he didn't show.

Had a quick chat with Jordan on Facebook. Hopefully we can be close again. He was a really nice friend to have and I missed that. We'll just have to see.
